For many years, Mr. Schladitz has mainly worked on mandates in the fields of inheritance law, real estate law, intellectual property (IP) and competition law.
Even before he started working as a freelance lawyer, he gained experience that still benefits him today, not only in his academic work, but also in diplomatic matters abroad.
His focus in inheritance law lies in advising in connection with wills, inheritance disputes and the enforcement or defence of compulsory portion claims. Furthermore, Mr. Schladitz is experienced in the settlement of estates, including for non-profit organizations. He also advises executors of wills, heirs and members of communities of heirs, e.g. on the settlement of estates. The focus is often on the goal of an amicable settlement. If this is not successful, Mr. Schladitz is an experienced litigator who guides the client through the judicial dispute with a professional hand, even in inheritance proceedings.
In trademark and copyright law, Mr. Schladitz advises on the protection and use of corresponding rights such as names, terms, claims (slogans), logos, design, images, photos, music and domains. One focus here is on advice in connection with trademark protection and a trademark strategy. Mr. Schladitz also takes care of trademark searches and trademark applications and accompanies his clients throughout the entire application and registration process. In the field of competition law, the support of (advertising) agencies and companies in questions of unfair competition or unfair and/or misleading advertising is at the forefront of his activities. However, Mr. Schladitz also competently supports his clients in the infringement of the aforementioned rights, in warnings and in (judicial) disputes in this context with his experience.
Finally, Mr. Schladitz is active in tenancy and real estate law. He has been advising members of a local association of Haus & Grund for many years – also at the interfaces to inheritance law and asset provision, e.g. through anticipated succession.
